The school run...
... the farmer was trying to clear a 4 foot snow dift!
and now I'm trying to prioratise my ideas in my sketch book...
Sometimes is your head so full of ideas and experiments that when you get a pocket of time to work on them you're paralysed into doing nothing!...
I bet Sonny's brain on legs doesn't have the same problem!...
Sky wants me to finish this sketch,
Think I'll start with this,
hope your day's gone well so far:)

I'm listening to a little Rock steady while I tidy and sort my studio, my little brain is working overtime with work ideas, so much so I just need to step back and prioratise....not enough hours...days etc,
So I need to slow down and show you this....
I've got a few pieces in the Editions exhibition at The West Yorkshire print work shop Mirfield, It finishes the 30th of March so if you're not stuck in a snow drift somewhere try and catch it there's some great prints for sale!

What do you think to this lovely spring weather we've having!
In between the snow drifting I managed to get to screen print last week to do the charity print for Chris'
Trek Nepal for Yorkshire Cancer Centre.
I was inspired by a little bird called the Rubythroat which migrates to Nepal from Siberia.
Nepal has 869 species of birds and is a bird watches paradise! I perched my little Rubythroat on a Nepalese beanstalk which is a design commonly seen on hand made Napalese papers. the script on the beanstalk leaves are words taken from the colourful prayer flags which are strung around the temples of Kathmandu and at Everests' base camp.
The backdrop of this design represents the beautiful mountainous landscape, which the birds live.
So there you have it Rubythroat ( in Nepal )
The print is £20 and all proceeds go to Trek Nepal
Hope the snow isn't too disruptive and you're having a grand Monday:)

I'm feeling so full of ideas these days that there's not enough hours to fit all I want in!
I've screen printed a new larger Edition of billy Casper and screen 50 little cloud cards to help feel positive whilst this crazy spring weather continues!
Yesterday was glorious, but as I type this it's grey drizzly snow stuff ( or fat rain as we like to call it)
Come on we want more sunshine to bring on the daffy's!

My good friend Nikki recommended this film to me last year and it's now a firm favourite in our house!
I adore the way the story is visually told and the fabulous quirky characters.
I plan to to some screen prints inspired by the visuals of this beautiful film,
I recommend a watch if you've not already seen it:)

Mother's day was spent at the Media Museum in Bradford, Sky was the perfect weather girl,
( Wincy Willis eat your heart out!)
and Lil & Son were excellent on the studio cameras it was wonderful!
Then for a curry afterwards.... well we were in Bradford the curry capital of the North it would have been rude not to!
Then yesterday I had my breakfast made for me, a full Sunday Roast and I was booked into Lil's beauty parlour ( in our bed room) and given a full pamper make-over!
It doesn't get better than that, the perfect mother's day xxx

Now that Spring has sprung... well in the process of springing!
We're fitting in all those on-going creative projects.
Lil's mirror is very on-going! after seeing a mirror in Accessorize she wanted to copy it....
it's a big project but a good way of using up broken jewelry, odds and sods, bits and bobs,
i'll post a picture when it's finished!
Hope the creative juices are flowing this foggy Tuesday:)
